Nick Janaway
Since graduating from the Sound Design course, Nick has set up a sound art partnership, Solarference, with long-time collaborator Sarah Owen. Leading on from Nick’s final project on voice-computer interaction, Solarference have been making and performing voice- and song-led sound pieces using MaxMSP.

Solarference has received funding for sound & sculpture installation project exploring the use of immersive sound environments as stress-relief therapy.
Nick has also co-founded First Person Theatre, a headphone theatre / choreography company. Their first podcast piece has been included in 2008’s FutureSonic, and they are making site-specific headphone works for various venues in the South East.
Nick continues to produce music, write songs and design sound for theatre shows.
